The Gulf of Mexico is seeing an oil resurgence, and Chevron just brought another big project online

an updated Google map shows the Gulf of America on February 10, 2025 in San Anselmo, California. Google has renamed the Gulf of Mexico to “Gulf of America” on Google Maps for United States users after U.S. President Donald Trump signed an executive order on his first day in office to change the name.
